  • Our tours are thoughtfully crafted to showcase each destination at its absolute best! We carefully select the ideal time of year for every experience. For example, the Classic Alps tour is planned when snowfall is at a minimum, keeping the mountain passes open for a seamless and breathtaking drive through the Alps.

In addition to our carefully timed tours, we’re excited to introduce some special out-of-season options, like our Winter Warmer and Spring Sensation tours. Winter brings a unique charm, with quieter roads and a cozy, peaceful atmosphere as the landscapes transform under a soft winter light. Spring, on the other hand, breathes fresh life into the scenery, with blossoming flowers, milder temperatures, and vibrant, green landscapes—a beautiful time to explore with fewer crowds and stunning views.

Make sure you’re on our mailing list! Reach out to us through our Contacts Page, and we’ll happily add you so you won’t miss any updates on these exciting specials.

And for those who prefer flexibility, our self-guided tours are available all year round, so you can set off whenever the spirit of adventure calls. Whether you’re drawn to the rich colours of autumn, the crisp allure of winter, the fresh blooms of spring, or the long days of summer, we’re here to help you craft the perfect journey!

  • While not mandatory, we highly recommend that all participants have a comprehensive travel insurance policy in place before departing for the tour.

Your policy should ideally include cover for:

    • Medical and dental treatment, including emergency evacuation

    • Trip cancellation, interruption, or curtailment

    • Loss or theft of personal belongings and baggage

    • Lost travel documents or passports

    • Missed flights or connections

    • Delays due to weather, strikes, or other disruptions

    • Personal liability

    • Accidental death or injury

    • Rental vehicle excess

Having the right insurance can give you peace of mind and financial protection in case the unexpected happens.

  • Our tours typically accommodate between 6 and 8 couples (based on two people sharing). The exact number depends on the season, tour popularity, and demand. On occasion, we may slightly increase the group size if demand is particularly high, but we generally aim to keep the experience intimate and enjoyable.

We also offer special edition tours - often known as Driver Editions - where the group size may increase to 10 couples or more. These tours are designed to accommodate a larger number of participants and will clearly state the expected group size in the tour description and marketing materials.

  • The accepted currency will depend on your tour location:

    • UK: British Pound (GBP)

    • Europe (including Ireland): Euro (EUR)

    • Switzerland: Swiss Franc (CHF)

While we recommend carrying some local cash for small purchases or in remote areas, most places accept major credit and debit cards.

Please note that American Express (AMEX) is not widely accepted by many hotels, restaurants, and attractions on our tours due to high transaction fees.

However, we do accept AMEX when booking your tour with us.

  • Depending on the tour, a rental vehicle will be arranged as part of the tour package.

We have tours for owner drivers also. Speak with a member of the team for further infromation.

  • We use a variety of vehicles across our tours to suit different experiences and preferences.

Some of our group tours are designed around specific models – for example, our MINI Cooper Tours and Land Rover Special Tours feature those particular vehicles as part of the experience.

However, as we are dealing with 3rd party suppliers we cannot guarantee a specific model in all circumstances.

For our self-drive packages, we can source vehicles on demand. Whether you're after a Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, MINI, BMW, or something else entirely, just let us know your preference and we'll do our best to arrange it for you.

While we always aim to provide the exact vehicle specified for each group tour, we cannot guarantee this with 100% certainty, as we rely on our trusted partners for vehicle supply. In the unlikely event that the specified vehicle is unavailable, a suitable alternative will be arranged.

This is outlined in our Terms and Conditions, so if having that exact vehicle is essential, we understand if you choose not to book. That said, our tours are designed to be incredible experiences regardless of the car – with breathtaking routes, great company, and unforgettable memories at the heart of every adventure.

  • Our tours are priced per person, based on two people sharing a vehicle and accommodation.

If you're looking to travel solo, please get in touch with a member of our team and we’ll be happy to provide an accurate quote tailored for solo travellers.

  • For group tour bookings, unless otherwise stated, rooms will come with a double bed as standard. If you would prefer a twin room (two single beds), please let us know by indicating this on your booking questionnaire.

Please be aware that all room types are subject to availability and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. While we will do our best to accommodate your preference, there may be rare occasions where your requested room type is not available.

  • Breakfast is included on all group tours unless otherwise stated.

    Lunches are not included.

Depending on the specific tour, some or all evening meals may be included. Please check the details of your tour or speak with a member of the Ultimate Driving Adventures (UDA) team for clarification.

We work closely with our hotel partners to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. As we often travel in larger groups and to remote locations, hotels may require your evening meal choices in advance to help their kitchens prepare efficiently. We’ll provide menu options for pre-selection ahead of time.

Your food and drinks bill will typically be charged to your room. You can settle this either on the night or at checkout the following morning.

  • We welcome guests of all ages on our tours. However, our typical guest demographic tends to be between 40 and 80 years old, and well-behaved teenagers are also welcome.

For those wishing to drive, you must be between 25 and 74 years of age, have held a full driving licence for at least two years, and have no more than six penalty points on your licence.

If you are over the age of 74 and would like to drive during the tour, no problem, we should be able to make special arrangements. Please contact us directly before booking at team@ultimatedrivingadventures.com.

  • Our self-guided and group tours feature carefully selected three- and four-star hotels, chosen to enhance the tour experience with comfort and charm while fitting seamlessly into the group’s budget. These accommodations allow guests to focus on what truly matters: the camaraderie, friendships, and memories made along the journey.

For those interested in a heightened level of luxury, we also offer bespoke five-star self-guided tours, designed to provide an exceptional experience tailored to your individual preferences and budget. Simply share your requirements when you enquire.

  • Yes we do!

    • Lunches, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs: £30–£50 per day

    • Breakfast is included each day unless otherwise stated

    • Evening meals: Some tours include evening meals—please check your tour details for specifics.

      • Where evening meals are not included, set menus are arranged in advance with our hotel partners to accommodate group dining. These typically start from £60 per person.

Fuel costs will vary depending on the tour and your driving style. As a guide, we suggest budgeting between £300 and £600 per vehicle.

Please note: These figures are estimates only, and actual costs may vary depending on your personal preferences and choices during the tour.

  • No, fuel is not included. We recommend budgeting between £300 and £600 for fuel, depending on the tour you are joining.

Please note this is an estimate only, as actual costs will vary based on fuel prices at the time of your tour and your individual driving style.

  • In the UK, we drive on the left-hand side of the road using right-hand drive vehicles. All of our UK-based tours currently start in London and use UK-spec vehicles.

For our European tours that start in London, you will still be in a right-hand drive vehicle, but you’ll be driving on the right-hand side of the road once you cross into mainland Europe.

For European tours that start and finish in Europe, we provide left-hand drive vehicles, which are standard for driving on the right-hand side of the road.

  • Yes. To drive on our tours, you must:

    • Be aged between 25 and 74 years old

    • Have held a full driving licence for at least two years

    • Have no more than six penalty points and no serious endorsements on your licence

If you’re unsure whether your licence meets the requirements, please contact a member of our team for guidance.

Driving licences from the US, Canada, and Europe are accepted automatically. If you're travelling from another country, you may need to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP)—please check the requirements in advance.

If you are over the age of 74 and would like to drive, we may be able to make special arrangements. Please contact us prior to booking. An additional charge may apply.

  • To secure your place on a tour, a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required. This confirms your booking and allows us to begin the reservation process.

We offer two payment options for the remaining balance:

    1. Pay in full within 30 days

    2. Pay in instalments – Available in 3, 4, or 6 monthly payments, depending on how far in advance you book. (Instalment plans are subject to availability and may not be available for last-minute bookings.)

Please note: Some tours may require additional upfront payments that are not included in the instalment plan—for example, to cover high-demand hotel bookings or special events. If this applies, we will notify you at the time of booking.

Once your deposit has been received, you will receive a Welcome Email along with our booking questionnaire, where you can choose your preferred payment option.

  • No, flights are not included in any of our tour packages.

The airport you’ll need to fly to will depend on the specific tour you’ve booked. Please speak with a member of our team before booking any flights to ensure you have the correct travel details.

  • Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details regarding refunds in the event that we have to cancel a tour.

As a small, independent travel business, and due to the nature of our operations, we are unable to offer refunds if you change your mind or are no longer able to attend. This is because we must secure accommodation, vehicle hire, and staffing well in advance- incurring significant non-refundable costs.

We strongly recommend that all guests take out appropriate travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from joining the tour.

  • You can view our full Terms & Conditions by clicking here.

Please ensure you have read and understood these terms in full before making any booking or payment to Ultimate Driving Adventures, as they outline important information regarding cancellations, refunds, payments, and participation requirements.

I’ve booked…what’s next?

  • Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a Tour Welcome Email. Please keep this email safe, as it contains important information about your tour and includes a link to our Tour Booking Questionnaire.

The questionnaire allows you to provide us with:

    • Dietary requirements

    • Any special needs or requests

    • Room type (Double or Twin)

    • Your preferred payment option (pay in full or via instalments)

Completing this form helps us tailor your experience and ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • While not mandatory, we highly recommend that all participants have a comprehensive travel insurance policy in place before departing for the tour.

Your policy should ideally include cover for:

    • Medical and dental treatment, including emergency evacuation

    • Trip cancellation, interruption, or curtailment

    • Loss or theft of personal belongings and baggage

    • Lost travel documents or passports

    • Missed flights or connections

    • Delays due to weather, strikes, or other disruptions

    • Personal liability

    • Accidental death or injury

    • Rental vehicle excess

Having the right insurance can give you peace of mind and financial protection in case the unexpected happens.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct travel documents, including a valid passport, any required visas, and a valid driving licence if you intend to drive during the tour.

Requirements vary depending on your country of residence and the countries included in your tour, so we strongly recommend checking with your local government’s travel office well in advance.

    We also advise that:

    • Your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date

    • You hold a full driving licence, valid for at least two years, with no more than six penalty points and no serious endorsements

    • If you're travelling from outside the UK, US, Canada, or Europe, you may need to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP)

If you’re unsure about any of the requirements, please reach out to a member of the UDA team—we’re happy to assist.

On tour…

  • We work with reputable rental partners, often directly with manufacturers where possible, to ensure our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.

    • Our Land Rovers are brand new

    • Most vehicles supplied are less than 1 year old

    • For our 2025 MINI tours, the vehicles will typically be 3 years old, but still carefully maintained to a high standard

All tour vehicles are selected to provide both driving enjoyment and comfort, with ample luggage space in the boot (trunk) and additional room in the back seats if needed.

  • Laundry facilities may be available at certain hotels during your tour, but availability depends on the type of tour you're on:

    • On group tours, access to laundry services is less predictable and can be difficult to fit into the itinerary. While it may be possible, we recommend packing enough clothing for the full duration of your trip and not relying on laundry access.

    • On self-drive tours, it's generally easier to accommodate laundry stops, and we can help advise on suitable locations along your route.

If you have specific needs or would like to plan for laundry access, please speak with Team UDA before your tour.

  • We will be taking you on some of the best driving roads in the world.

Each tour will vary. Our customers will need the confidence to drive and navigate mountain passes, single track roads, and motorways. Tours usually start with main roads and motorways to allow you to get used to driving your vehicle.
