Great Scotland Tour 2025


Join the UDA team for our Mini Cooper adventure on a 14-day guided tour around Scotland in 2025. This special trip has been pieced together with years of experience and knowledge around the Scottish Lowlands and Highlands, taking in some of the best routes giving you the ultimate driving adventure around Scotland.   • Day 1

    Upon arrival into London Heathrow Airport our minibus service is waiting to take you to your luxury spa hotel in Hampshire, this elegant country house is the perfect place to get rested after a long flight.

    In the evening there will be a welcome meal giving you the opportunity to meet the tour team and your fellow travellers.

    Day 2

    It’s time to get this show on the road. You will notice that all our driving tours set off on a Sunday morning, this is due to there being less traffic and ensure that you have a smooth drive whilst getting used to driving on the other side of the car/road.

    Your first destination of interest is the British motor museum, here you can see the first and last mini cooper off the production line along with other special minis such as the late Paddy Hopkirk’s 33EJB Monte Carlo Rally, winning car. The afternoon drive takes us north to the Scottish Boarders where we will spend the night just outside of Gretna Green, a world-famous romantic wedding destination.

    Day 3

    Today’s drive takes you to Helix Park where you will see the magnificent Kelpie sculptures, afterwards we are taking you to the Falkirk Wheel, the world’s one and only rotating boat lift. A marvel of engineering and a must see on the Scottish canal network.

    The afternoon drive takes you to the unspoilt Cairngorms National Park, spending the night in a15th century Castle.

    Day 4

    Today’s drive takes you all over the Cairngorms. We start off the day with a trip to Glenshee Ski Centre, where we are taking a cable car to the top to take in the magnificent views.

    Afterwards we are driving to Balmoral Castle where you will spend the next few hours exploring the grounds and castle whilst surrounded by royal family history.

    Tonight’s accommodation we have chosen a relaxing hotel located on the east coast of the highlands.

    Day 5

    A scenic coastal drive is planned for today as we hug the east coast and make our way north further into the highlands, making a stop at the fairytale castle of Dunrobin.

    The afternoon drive takes you to the most northern point of Scotland, and at this time of year there’s a good chance you will spot some wild puffins nesting on the cliffs of Dunnet Head.

    Tonight’s hotel is located just outside of Thurso but can reach the centre within minutes if you wanted to do more exploring.

    Day 6

    We are now making our way west across the north coast, the scenery dramatically starts to change throughout the day, you will see this for yourself and its simply breathtaking.

    You are spoilt with a choice of activities to do throughout the day, such as cliff jumping, ziplines, exploring Smoo Cave, visiting Cocoa Mountain for some delicious hot chocolate and a visit to an arts and crafts village.

    For the next 2 nights you are staying at a hotel that is a personal favourite of ours. This hotel is located on the west coast of the highlands and offers fantastic views, and the service matches it.

    Day 7

    Starting the day with a trip to Kylesku Bridge where we meet the local skipper for a tour guide across the bay, keep your eyes peeled and look out for the seals and other wildlife in the area.

    The afternoon drive takes you on several single-track routes, stopping off at lighthouses and little villages along the way.

    Returning to the hotel where we have afternoon tea waiting for us, you can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the conservatory overlooking the bay or you can get your hiking boots on and explore the local grounds.

    Day 8

    Taking you to some civilisation and stopping at the fishing village of Ullapool, here you can explore the local shops, stock up on souvenirs and enjoy a coffee overlooking the harbour before we hit the road and continue southwest.

    On the afternoon drive you are going over the Bealach na Ba pass to Applecross, this is one of the most feared but most picturesque driving routes in all the UK.

    If you’ve made it to the other side, you can reward yourself with a delicious seafood lunch at the famous Applecross Inn, afterwards we drive the scenic coastal road where you will see some highland coos grazing at the roadside.

    Tonight’s accommodation is a gorgeous lodge right by one of the most iconic NC500 photo locations overlooking Loch Maree and you are staying here for x2 nights.

    Day 9

    Another day of unforgettable driving roads, starting through the twisty woodland roads as we make our way to the Isle of Skye, stopping in the town of Portree for afternoon tea at one of the most Instagram famous locations in Skye.

    We are now taking you on a drive around the northern part of Skye to drive over the Quiraing, before heading back to our hotel.

    Day 10

    Starting off with a fun sweeping road as we make our way to Eilean Donan Castle where we have a 2-hour pit stop for you to explore.

    After lunch we are heading to the Ben Nevis Whisky Distillery in Fort William where we have a private tour and walked step by step through the process of how they make this delicious whisky, finishing off the tour in the bar where passengers can sample the different varieties, drivers can take bottled samples to enjoy later.

    Tonight’s hotel is in the Glencoe Mountain range, it boasts award winning food and a fine selection of whisky and wines.

    Day 11

    Today’s drive takes us over the old military road to Inveraray Castle where we are stopping for 2 hours to explore the castle and grounds.

    We will then head towards Loch Lomond, stopping off at the well-known landmark “rest and be thankful” before we make our way over to the Trossachs National Park where you will be driving Dukes pass.

    Finishing the day with a relaxing stay at a spa hotel.

    Day 12

    It’s time to make our way south to England and say goodbye to Scotland, stopping off at the popular Gretna Green for your last opportunity to stock up on souvenirs before we head to the Lake District.

    Tonight’s hotel is a hidden paradise in the lakes and is simply stunning, filled with art deco, this hotel has a unique touch and will not disappoint.

    Day 13

    Enjoying a relaxing morning overlooking the lakes before we make our way back to London to where it all first started.

    For the last night of the tour, we have our awards ceremony for completing the UDA Great Scotland Tour and say our final goodbyes.

    Day 14

    Our taxi service is ready to take you back to London Heathrow airport.
