Day 1, you’ll be welcomed in Munich with a delightful champagne reception at the Hilton hotel.
Over a group dinner, you’ll get to know your fellow travellers, share a toast, and soak in the excitement of the days to come.
Day 2, the journey truly begins as you pick up your vehicle and head off to the picturesque spa town of Baden-Baden, nestled in the Black Forest. Once you've settled into your charming, centrally located hotel, you'll have the evening free to dine on your own. Enjoy a leisurely meal at one of Baden-Baden's delightful restaurants, soaking up the atmosphere and savoring the local cuisine at your own pace. It's the perfect way to unwind and immerse yourself in the town's charm before the adventures continue.
Day 3, you’ll depart Baden-Baden and head toward the charming town of Triberg, famous as the home of the cuckoo clock. After a lovely stop there, you’ll continue through the Black Forest and enjoy lunch at a lakeside retreat. By the evening, you'll arrive in Basel. It's a Saturday night, so you’ll have the perfect opportunity to explore the old town from your centrally located hotel, maybe enjoy a riverside meal for two under the stars, and take in the beautiful architecture and cathedrals. It’s always a favourite with our guests.
Day 4, you’ll set off from Basel and make your way to Grindelwald, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views and a cliff walk high above the landscape. Finally, you’ll arrive at the beautiful Victorian Giessbach Hotel, nestled by waterfalls and overlooking the lake.
You’ll have all of Day 5 to explore at your leisure—perhaps take a boat ride over to Interlaken or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. It’s your time to soak in the magic.
Day 6, we’ll leave the Giessbach Hotel and spend the day winding through some of Switzerland’s most iconic mountain passes. From the breathtaking heights of the Susten Pass to the cinematic Furka Pass, famous from James Bond’s “Goldfinger,” you’ll be immersed in stunning alpine scenery. We’ll also traverse the Grimsel and Nufenen Passes before concluding the day with a private tour of a World War II mountain fortress, adding a touch of historical intrigue to your alpine adventure.
Day 7, the excitement continues as we take on the Klausen Pass, followed by a bit of extra fun with Europe’s longest toboggan ride in the afternoon. You’ll end the day with a traditional Swiss fondue group dinner at your cosy hotel, a beloved highlight for all our guests.
Day 8, we’ll enjoy our final day of driving as we meander back out of Switzerland and into beautiful Germany, returning to our starting hotel. There, we’ll have a bit of celebratory fun with the legendary UDA giveaway draw, where you could win a beautiful canvas print of your favourite photograph from the tour. We’ll also have a lighthearted moment with certificates, a chance to reminisce about the journey, share some camaraderie, and raise a toast to everyone for their onward travels the following day.
Day 9, you'll have your onward travel day. With hearts full of wonderful memories, you'll set off on your next adventure, carrying a piece of the Alps with you wherever you go.
